Difficult to label. Kylesa plays a very cool sludge metal with elements of crust punk and perhaps a dozen other influences – but labels is a thing I couldn’t care less about. It all boils down to the musis and it is really badass. IMHO Kylesa really deserved a larger audience and stage at this Roskilde.
Kylesa are using double drummers so they are totalling 4 bass drums and it gives them a different ‘massive’ sound, but the band is very active and jumps and pumps all over the stage - Again I wished I brought my better gear, because this band was all over the place. Next time though…
Kylesa is from Savannah, Georgia, USA and is definately worth checking out.
